Announcements
Martian Cup
The Eagles shut out Holly by a score of 8-0. Marissa Ziccardi scored a hat-trick to open the first half on assists from Gracie Lopez, Taylor Jones and Lauren Gocha. Taylor Jones socred off a Ziccardi assist to close out the first half 4-0. In the second half, Julia Otman, Payton Leedle and Taylor Acox completed the scoring.

Despite 12 saves in goal by Tamira VanTassell, Linden fell to Goodrich by a 1-0 score in game two.

There was plenty of scoring in a 10-0 win over Chesaning on goals from Payton Leedle (3), Elaina Newman (3), Jennifer VanTassell, Shae Curtis, Marissa Ziccardi, and Julia Otman. Assists were provided by Ottman, Leedle, Emma Ford, Abbey Zayan, Taylor Jones, Newman, Gocha and Amelia Bradfield.

Brandon
The JV Eagles also shut out the Blackhawks with a final score of 3-0. Scoring for Linden were Julia Otman, Taylor Jones and Shae Curtis on assists from Kayla Sugg and Lauren Gocha. Taimra VanTassell had 6 saves in goal. The first star of the game went to Shae Curtis, 2nd to Julia Otman and 3rd to Taylor Jones.
Flushing
The JV team battled Flushing in a defensive 0-0 game at home on Tuesday. Tamira VanTassell had 4 saves in goal. Abby Zayan was the #1 star of the game, Julia Otman the #2 star and Tamira VanTassell earned the #3 star. The team will be back in action Thursday night vs Brandon at home.
Swartz Creek
The JV Eagles battled to a 1-1 tie at Swartz Creek on Wednesday. Lauren Gocha scored in the second half on a Julia Otman assist to knot the game. Tamira VanTassell had 6 saves in goal. The JV girls will play on Tuesday at home vs Flushing at 4:30.
Holly
The JV Eagle offense came alive in the Metro opener vs Holly on Monday night with a 8-0 victory over the Bronchos. Balanced scoring came off goals from La'Breea Schott, Taylor Acox (2), Marissa Ziccardi, Kayla Sugg, Taylor Jones, Alaina Newman. and Lauren Gocha. Payton Leedle had two assists for Linden and Taylor Acox, Kayla Sugg, Gracie Lopez, Abbie Zayan, Elaina Newman and Taylor Jones each added one.

Tamira VanTassell had 4 saves in goal to earn the shutout.

Both teams will play at Swartz Creek on Wednesday with the varsity team playing first at 4:30.

Carman Ainsworth
The JV Eagles traveled to Carman Ainsworth and defeated the Caviliers 8-0 with scoring from eight different players. LaBreea Schott, Taylor Jones Emma Ford, Mrisa Ziccardi, Roslyn Craine, Payton Leedle, Samantha Maienbrook and Lauren Gocha each scored a goal. Roslyn Craine added a pair of assists and Lauren Gocha, Taylor Acox and Julia Otman each had one assist. Tammi VanTassel and Kayla Sugg combined in goal for the shut-out. The first star of the Game was Roslyn Craine, second star was Lauren Gocha and 3rd star was Payton Leedle.
Powers
The JV Eagles fell to Powers 8-0 on Tuesday in a non-league match up. Keepers Tammi VanTassel (5), Abe Sanderson (5) and Kayla Suggs (12) combined for 22 Eagle saves in the contest. The first star of the game went to Kayla Suggs, 2nd Star to Abby Zayan and 3rd Star to Jen VanTassell.
Kearsley
The JV soccer team defeated Kearsley 8-0 on Tuesday in a Metro League match-up. Payton Leedle scored twice followed by goals from Shae Curtis, Audrey Bakos, Taelor Smith, Julia Otman and Dominique Scripter.
Flushing
The JV score against Flushing was a come from behind victory. 2-1 the finial. LaBreea Schott had both goals in the victory. Payton Leedle and Tamira VanTassell had assists. The JV Eagles record stands at 2-2 in league play and 4-3-1 overall.
Swartz Creek
The Eagles took a hard 4-0 lost against Swartz Creek. Their record stands at 3-2-1 on the year. Their Metro record is 1-1.
Holly
The Linden JV ran their record to 3-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Metro as they beat Holly 1-0.

Dominique Scripter pitched her 3rd shutout of the season, Payton Leedle scored the game winning goal assisted by Kayla Suggs.
Owosso
Julie Otman scored a hat tric and had two assists to lead the Eagles to a 8-0 shut out victory to open the season at Owosso. the JV Eagles are now 1-0 on the young season.
Powers
Linden JV played one of their best games last night beating Powers 2-1 to finish the season with a strong win. Every Linden girl played a strong, tough game putting in great effort. Scoring for Linden was Madison Maxheimer and Amelia Simberg. Dominique Scripter had a great game in goal and all players played an outstanding game!! Great way to finish your season girls!! 
Lapeer West
Linden JV soccer lost an extremely hard fought   1-0 game to Lapeer West. Linden controlled most of the game, made great defensive plays, and created many offensive chances, but just could not put a ball in the net.  
Fenton
Linden JV played a very hard fought game against Fenton last night losing 3-1. Linden held Fenton off the whole first half playing strong defense. Dominique Scripter played her most aggressive game ever in goal and greatly frustrated Fenton's offense. Audrey Bakos had Linden's goal off of a free kick. This was the second game against Fenton this season, and even though it was a loss, the Linden JV team played a wonderful game! 
Kearsley
Linden JV beat Kearsley last night 10-0 to bring their record to 4-2. Hannah Whitted had 3 beautiful goals, Sydney Ganger, Madi Wabel and Madison Maxheimer each had 2 and Amelia Simberg put in 1. Linden's defense played strong not allowing any shots on net. The girls play Fenton tomorrow. 
Clio
 Linden JV beat Clio 5-2 last night to bring their record to 3-2.  Madison Maxheimer had 2 goals with Amelia Simberg, Sydney Ganger and Hannah Whitted each scoring 1. The JV girls play Kearsley tomorrow and Fenton on Friday.
JV Girls Beat Lapeer East
Linden JV beat Lapeer East 3-1. Linden has played  great defense all season lead by Lauren Klein and Audrey Bakos.  Sydney Ganger, Hannah Whitted and Taylor Ganger also played a great defensive game.  Scoring for Linden was Saira Kohler, Madison Wabel, and Madison Maxheimer.  Assists by Madison Wabel and Amelia Simberg.
Brandon
The JV soccer team got things started in the right direction with a 4-0 shut out of visiting Brandon on Monday night in Cranston Stadium.  Goal one came from Saira Kohler in the first half, followed by three goals from Madison Maxheimer in the second half.  Overall, the Eagles outshot Brandon 19 to 4.
Clio
Linden JV came out strong against Clio last night to win 8-0 in only 40 minutes due to the mercy rule. Linden's defense held the ball in Clio's end for 99% of the game never even letting them get a shot off.  Gabrielle Freeman had 3 goals for Linden, playing very composed and strong offensively. All of Linden's 8 goals were beautiful with 1 each from Saira Kohler, Sydney Ganger, Amelia Simberg, Olivia Kirk and Madison Maxheimer. Great game girls! JV plays home on Wednesday against Kearsley at 5pm. 
Holly
The Linden JV girls played an outstanding game last night beating Holly 4-0. Linden dominated Holly with the defense only allowing 1 shot and the offense attacking Holly's goal all game. Madison Maxheimer had 2 goals, Gabrielle Freeman and Amelia Simberg 1 each.  Audrey Bakos had 2 assists, as well as Sydney Ganger and Olivia Kirk with an assist each.
Fenton
Linden JV had another chance against a very good Fenton team last night, but were unable to match Fenton's intensity.  Fenton pressured Linden's goal all game, but JV goalie Dominique Scripter played a great game only allowing 3 goals out of the many Fenton attempts.  The girls play Holly on Thursday April 25th. 
Linden vs. Saginaw Heritage
Linden JV lost their second game of the season to a very strong Saginaw Heritage team.  Linden played very strong defensively and held Saginaw's excellent offense to only 3 goals.  Their next game is Thursday 4/18 at home vs  Carmen Ainsworth.
Fenton
Linden JV girls played their first game of the season last night against Fenton.  Fenton took advantage of our absence of players and scored 3 goals in the first half.  Linden came out strong in the second half and did not allow Fenton to score again.  The game ended with a Fenton win, 3-0.  The next game is Wednesday April 10th vs Davison at 5pm at home.
Flushing
The Linden JV soccer team had a tough 3 game schedule last week and finished the week losing 2 games and winning 1.  They lost to Kearsley 4-0 and to Lapeer West 6-0.  Friday was a great game to watch though with the girls beating Flushing
7-0.  Dominique Scripter played great in goal recording a shut-out in her first full game playing goalie this season.  Scoring for the Eagles were Jessie Magelski with 3 goals and 3 assists, Brianna Holcher with 2 goals, Gabrielle Freeman with a goal and an assist, and Saira Kohler with a goal.  The JV girls have 4 games left in the last 2 weeks of their season.
Heritage/CA
The JV Soccer team played 2 games last week, losing 1 and winning the other.  They lost 3-0 to Saginaw Heritage on Monday and beat Carmen Ainsworth on Thursday 10-2.  Brianna Holcher lead the team scoring 4 goals for the Eagles, Rachel Starrs scored 3 and also had 2 assists, Saira Kohler had 2 goals, and Kristen Moffit 1 goal.
Owosso
The JV soccer team beat Owosso last night to bring their record to 2-1.  The Lady Eagles scored 6 goals and only allowed Owosso 1.  There were 6 different players who scored for Linden including Rachel Starrs, Hailey Steelman, Dominique Scripter, Kristen Moffit, Saira Kohler, and Brianna Holscher.  The defense,led by Madison Polen and Rachel Starrs, did a great job of marking Owosso's strong players out of the game.  Linden plays Fenton tomorrow night at home.
Durand
The JV soccer team beat Durand last night 7-0.  The defense only allowed 1 shot in the whole game saved by goalie Heather Kimball.  Scoring for the Eagles were Brianna Holscher with 3 goals and 2 assists, Kristen Moffit with 2 goals, and Saira Kohler with 2 goals as well.  The whole team played very hard and looked good in their second game of the season.
Davison
The JV soccer team lost a tough first game last night to a very strong Davison JV team.  Davison scored 4 goals in the first half of play.  Linden stepped up in the second half not allowing anymore goals against and putting in 1 goal to bring the final score to 4-1.  The goal was scored by Brianna Holscher assisted by Gabrielle Freeman.

Lake Orion Soccer Tournament is Cancelled
Due to the very cold weather and poor field conditions, the Lake Orion Soccer Tournament has been cancelled.
Soccer Practice
Looks like the weather will be breaking and practice will be outside at 3:45 for the rest of the week!
